2022 FIFA World Cup Croatia vs Belgium: Where To Watch, Live Streaming, Date, Timing, Squad, Lineups, Venue:
Croatia face Belgium test in their penultimate group stage game at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. However, it would be more appropriate to say that Belgium face an uphill task against Croatia as they look to qualify for the knockouts. The Croats only need to avoid a defeat in this game, which would then seal their last-16 berth. But a defeat too can take the Luka Modric led team into the knockouts, if already eliminated Canada defeat Morocco in their game.
The runners-up from 2018 had a tough start to this campaign, as they failed to breach the Moroccan defense in their opening group stage game. However, Zlatko Dalic’s men made a superb comeback against Canada, where despite trailing after just 2 minutes, Croatia scored 4 goals to down the North American nation. Belgium should be a real test for them now before heading into the knockouts, as they will look to win this Group F with a win.
Belgium meanwhile are in a do-or-die situation, where they need to collect maximum points against Croatia, and still hope Morocco fail to overcome Canada. A draw in this game for the Belgian Red Devils would only work if Canada cause Morocco an upset. However, having analyzed all the permutations, Belgium first need to peep into their dressing room. According to multiple reports, Belgian stars Kevin de Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois and Jan Vertonghen had a heated exchange in the dressing room after their shock defeat at the hands of Morocco.

De Bruyne had already ruled out Belgium as the favourites to win this tournament, citing the current squad is “too old” to pull-off a triumph. The comments have not gone down well with Courtois and Vertonghen, who bit back at the Manchester City midfielder stating its “easier to make excuses” and that the national team’s attack has lost its sharpness as well due to ‘ageing’. Amidst a disputed dressing room, it would be certainly be a challenge for Roberto Martinez to churn out a win against Croatia.
